Is This You at the Trade Show?

It’s a fact that there is literally nothing worse in the world than a cold floor in the wintertime, and you definitely don’t want to deal with that in your trade show booth. It’s not that we think you or your visitors are going to be standing in your booth barefoot, but even looking at cold concrete floors in these months of the year is enough to send shivers up the spine. It’s not an inviting look, and it’s also pretty easy to overlook when you’re concerned with the broader design of your booth in terms of representing your company with your logos, color schemes, and other graphic work.

To remedy this problem, you’ve got a lot of different options for trade show flooring. Some like to bring rugs or carpet tiles, but we tend to prefer interlocking EVA foam mats. They come in a lot of different designs, from child-friendly to an elegant bamboo print. You can match them to the rest of the booth’s aesthetic, and perhaps most importantly, they don’t retain all the crud that people track in the way carpet or rugs would—they’re incredibly easy to clean and don’t require cleaning chemicals either, so there’s no vacuuming or shampooing necessary.

Trade show flooring might seem like an afterthought when you’re spending so much time and energy making sure everything else looks just right, and making sure you’ve got all the materials you want to provide to your visitors, but it can definitely make or break the image of the booth, not to mention the huge impact it can have on whether or not you can be on your feet as long as you need to. Especially if this is your first rodeo in the trade show circuit, don’t make the mistake of relying on a comfy pair of shoes to make the long day survivable. Trade show flooring is really not something you want to overlook.
